Managing Director
Michaela Brug
Michaela is the founding director of G&T Search. After a decade in the fashion and retail sector she moved in 2005 into the executive search industry with a boutique firm specialising in the international (re-)insurance markets. Since then she focuses on executive search for senior level appointments in the Continental European and the London market, both on the life and non-life side, at chief executive and non-executive director level as well as functional and technical disciplines including underwriting, broking, actuarial, HR, finance and risk.
Michaela has partnered with a variety of clients on a long term relationship basis to understand strategy and development plans, delivering solutions consistently to enhancing operations and building teams.
Michaela oversees all day-to-day activity within the business to ensure the founding principals and standards remain at the heart of everything we do.
Michaela has a background in Economics and Marketing. She is a German national, is multilingual and holds a degree in Political Economics completed at the University of Freiburg in Germany.

Non Executive Director
Tim Johnson
Tim has over 30 years experience in the international insurance and reinsurance markets as an underwriter, manager and business developer.
In 2002, Tim co-founded an executive search sector specialist firm that focused on the insurance and reinsurance markets, finding senior level strategic hires from Board Level to Senior Technical and Senior Functional until 2013.
Since then Tim has been working with the Heart Based Institute in the USA to become a Certified Practitioner in Heart Based Therapeutics and has now joined with Inner Heart Solutions, based in Canada, to be a facilitator in the global roll out of The IHI System™. The IHI System™ bridges the heart and mind of individuals and the teams they operate in, serving to enrich and enhance today’s corporate culture for increased prosperity, happier work environments and profitable results.
